Had an interesting weekend as far as vehicle sightings go.

No SR20, as I didn't have my phone on me , but I saw a Leopard C2 main battle tank (go Canada!), a JDM MkIII Toyota Supra (surprisingly not riced out!) and a Porsche 968 drop-top in what appears to be a purplish-blue paint on the outside and medium blue leather inside. Also sighted: BMW M3 (one of the last models before "flame-surfacing took over) in Atomic Yellow-green(I'm rubbish with colours, gimme a friggin' break) and a Scion FR-S.

The kid repairing the window of the 968 had to go around the back of the car to identify it. I'd seen two 968's before, but never a convertible. Not my first choice of Porsche, but I wouldn't turn one down.

The FR-S has a sexy shape, until it's had it's wheels replaced with smaller ones and dropped until the front splitter can crush a match-box. I love the car, I really do, but the F&F treatment ruined it.

You guys get such a bad rap. My friends in Alberta, BC and Ontario show Saskatchewan no mercy. Why is that?

Nah, this was just tooling around town - I just got a bonus recently, so I headed to the BB ( I know, shut up, amirite?) and saw the 968 there. I didn't even know there was a show - I work graveyards, so my 'social awareness' of community events is a wee bit low. The BMW and the Supra I saw at Princess Auto.

Possibly because it's flatter than my ex-wifes chest? It's got two different prices for liquor, depending on the time of day? It's ridiculously hard to buy a green leafy substance? There's no mountains?

Before I moved here, I was installing a security cam system at a friend's business when I heard someone mention that they just got back from Saskatoon, and I mentioned that I was moving there in a couple of weeks. His response?

"On purpose?"

All in all, I like it here, but it's not BC.

How does the 2 prices for liquor thing work?

It's one price from opening to 6 or 7pm, at which time the Government stores close, which is when the Night Prices take effect - the price is a little higher. I'm sure it's Legislated Stupidity.
